Boost ecommerce growth with a single source of truth that unify your analytics

We built resilo to let modern ecommerce grow with data that they already have stored in multiple places. The goal of our data warehouse is to unify sales and marketing data and reduce the silo effect while showing the bigger picture.

Breaking down data silos with single source of truth

Modern ecommerce generates tons of sales and marketing data. Some of them are stored in the store while others are stuck in marketing or analytical tools. Siloed data creates barriers whenever it comes to measuring things across multiple sources. Have you ever wondered..

If you answered yes to at least one, you probably need a data warehouse. A data warehouse organises and stores data from different sources in one place. Thus, having quick access to a centralised data repository, running reports, creating dashboards and finding disruptive insights are much easier to do.

Proven data model for ecommerce

A data model is an abstract representation of elements in the world and represents how they object relate to one another. In a typical online store we can distinguish entities like order lines, orders, customers, products and variants or refunds. There are also a lot of objects around your store including traffic sources, campaigns, ad groups or creatives that also need to be represented in the data warehouse.

While it is easy to find a tool that allows you to connect and fetch data from multiple data sources there are always a lot of questions standing in the way when coming to build your own data model. With resilo you don’t need to think about it. With our pre-build model that covers most of the common elements in the ecommerce industry there is no need to create anything from scratch.

Predefined integrations allow us to get data not only from custom, dedicated platforms but also from popular ecommerce open source engines including Prestashop, WooCommerce, Magento or Shopify. With API connectors to popular analytics and marketing tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Sheets or Meta Ads we are able to fetch your data and load them to the data warehouse.

Metrics that matter

Beware of vanity metrics. We believe that being data driven is great, but tracking the right metrics is awesome. That’s why we deliver metrics that really matter for ecommerce businesses. Our data model covers more than 200 metrics divided into separate datasets.

Starting with the order lines, through orders, customers, products and marketing campaigns you are able to crucial metrics and KPIs for each scope. The most important metrics that are available are:

Advanced customer, sales and traffic analytics

Our datasets can be used in advanced analytics techniques including market basket analysis or customer segmentation. Market basket analysis is used to find and uncover patterns in customer purchases. Knowing which products are often bought together can be used in product decision-making (i.e. creating sets or cross-selling rules).

Using customer segmentation to identify the most valuable customers can be used in finding brand ambassadors (frequent buyers) or recognizing patterns that stand behind customers that made only one transaction.

Advanced analytics also covers attribution modelling which allows you to assign revenue with its appropriate traffic source or campaign. With a unified view of your customer you can easily recognize channels that are responsible for user acquisition and compare them with sources that lead your customers to make repeat purchases. Using custom rules and filters you can aggregate or split traffic sources into custom channels and deeply recognize how particular traffic sources have an impact on your sales.

Predictive analytics and forecasting

Working with data is not only about looking back, but also about looking forward to the next weeks, months or years. That’s why combining statistical modelling, machine learning and historical data is often called predictive analytics. Using these techniques you can forecast the number of orders in upcoming months, estimate your revenue or determine KPIs values while planning your quarterly goals.

One of the most important keys to being successful in forecasting is having the right data at the right time. With resilo all your data are ready to use in machine learning algorithms. By default we use Google Cloud build-in features to deliver the forecast and classification for your data, but you can use the sales or campaign data in any way you want. Your data stored in resilo can also be used as a fuel in recommendation engines.

Transparency and full ownership of data

Working with reports and dashboards built in analytics and marketing tools is like renting an apartment. Not only we don’t own the data stored in them, but also we are narrowed down with dimensions, metrics and components served in their interface. Being dependent on the data retention policy of every platform and not having access to raw data can reduce the possibilities of data usage in the organisation.

Data warehouses solve this problem by integrating raw data from multiple sources in one, centralised, secure and easily accessible place. Privacy and security are our primary concerns. That's why we use Google Cloud Platform to store the data in the cloud. Each customer has its own project and full access to data transferred into it. We don’t share your data with anyone unless you do.

A safe copy of all your data across different sources can also be helpful while upgrading your ecommerce platform or changing your technology stack. With our backed data sets there is no need to start from the beginning - you can import all your historical data to newly configured tools.

Frequently asked questions

What is a data warehouse?

In the ecommerce industry, a data warehouse is a place where you can store, organise and merge data about your customers, sales, products and marketing activities in one place. Data warehouses are used to create a single source of truth for the companies. Once the data are collected in one place, they are available for everyone in the organisation. Thus, you can use it for reporting, creating dashboards or feeding the machine learning algorithms.

In simple terms your data warehouse is like a supermarket where you shop every day. It has a lot of data organised in different places also known as datasets like as products in the supermarket. When you need to find some information, you know very well how to quickly find it. You just go in, choose the things that interest you and act.

How can I benefit from resilo?

From data analytics through data activation and machine learning, resilo can be a valuable partner for your team while making data-driven decisions. We want our software to help you save your precious time and help you make more money from data you already have.

While it takes months to create a dedicated data warehouse and prepare the custom integrations, your resilo instance can be ready to use in a few weeks. You don’t need to hire a data scientist or data analyst for a permanent contract to become a data-driven organisation.

Having collected, organised and relevant data in one place means faster time to insights and decision making. Eliminating repetitive tasks will give your team more time to focus on problem solving and experimenting rather than cleaning another spreadsheet with missing data.

We are nuts about data quality and making them meaningful. We continuously improve the data model and the logic standing behind it. Your customer is a real person, not a cookie. Refunded orders should not be included in the revenue. A profit is much more important than revenue. We know it. That is why w in resilo datasets you will find metrics that matter.
